FTTx outlet box for fibre-optic cables
It measures 80 × 80 × 23.5 mm and is built up in three functional levels. The mounting plate for wall mounting is made of metal and therefore provides effective strain relief.
The plastic housing is fitted onto the mounting plate: it has an integrated fibre tray and a holder for four secure crimp or heat-shrink splice protectors. The housing also has knock-outs for two SC simplex or LC duplex adapters. When these are not in use, hinged dust caps prevent dust from entering and protect against other environmental influences. The third level is the high-quality plastic cover. It is fitted with a captive screw, which is covered by a labelling field with a hinged transparent cover. With this construction, the FTTx surface-mount box meets all the requirements for connecting end users directly to fast fibre-optic broadband networks with real-time transmission in the gigabit range.
By the way: for the two knock-outs in the plastic housing, we also supply matching fibre-optic adapters as flangeless plug-in versions – for an effective, high-performance plug connection to the respective network infrastructure.
