Frequently asked questions

How do you test cables for drag chains and torsion?
Drag chain, torsion and bending tests, including under climatic conditions, are part of our mechanical testing; ageing and climate cycling tests serve long-term validation. Before series production, validation samples are built for testing in your specific application environment. Special tests are tailored individually to your requirements – for example for environments with heat, dirt, moisture and vibration.
How do you handle the transition from RJ45 to X-coded M12?
For the transition from the office area to the field level, we supply screened connection cables in various configurations – from M12 X-coded to RJ45, for Industrial Ethernet at up to 10 Gbit/s. These include halogen-free Cat.6A patch cables with high torsional and tensile strength. The configuration is based on your specifications.
Are there solutions for custom lengths and tight installation spaces?
Yes. We develop Industrial Ethernet, sensor and control cables to your specifications and in custom lengths. For special installation situations with little space, there are M12 connectors, straight or 90° angled – even choosing the connector with the optimum angle prevents damage to the cable.
