Galvanic network isolators

In medical environments, too, it must be ensured that sensitive medical devices and patients are protected against potentially dangerous electrical interference. This is achieved by using galvanic isolators, which separate the flow of electrical currents between two parts of a network, rendering any potential fluctuations or voltage spikes harmless.

Isolators ensure safety

The quality of the network connection and data transmission is not affected. Where in a medical electrical network a galvanic isolator must be inserted, and what technical properties it must have, is governed by the international safety standard IEC 60601-1.

RJ45 network isolators
Our tested, UL-certified compact RJ45 network isolators were designed specifically for Ethernet networks in medical settings, but are equally suitable for Industrial Ethernet applications. They provide galvanic isolation in accordance with the strict medical technology safety standard EN 60601-1 (2MOPP) and offer reliable protection against dangerous potential differences and extraneous and interference voltages from the LAN connection, with an Ethernet transmission performance of 10 Gbit/s.
The product is suitable for wall or DIN rail mounting (using accessories).

USB isolator
To protect sensitive devices connected to a PC via a USB cable, we have a high-performance isolator for you: this isolator also meets the strict safety standard IEC 60601-1 – 2MOPP and is UL, IEC and FCC certified. Its reinforced insulation provides additional safety. It is compatible with hubs and extenders and – like the network isolator – can be mounted on a DIN rail using accessories.
